Why We Chose Bags Over Tubs for Whey Protein
The problem with tubs
Most whey protein comes in large tubs: 23 or more servings, $45 to $55 upfront, and one flavor commitment before you even know if you will finish it. That is a lot to ask when you are trying something new.
Why bags make more sense
We switched from tubs to flexible bags because we wanted a lower barrier to try Lassi Protein. Our 0.5 lb bag has 5 servings and starts at a much smaller upfront cost than a typical tub. If you love it, scale up to the 1 lb or 2 lb bag.
Same protein, less waste
Every bag size still delivers 25g of protein per serving. The difference is flexibility: starter size for first-timers, everyday size for regular drinkers, and stock-up size for people who know they are hooked.
Bags are easier to store and ship
Bags take up less space in your cabinet and pack more efficiently for shipping. For a DTC brand still growing, that matters for keeping costs reasonable and getting product to you faster.
Try before you commit
If you have been curious about South Asian inspired whey protein but did not want to buy a full tub of an unknown flavor, bags were built for you.
